MMD Home sources authentic antiques from China, Mongolia and Tibet. All pieces are taken to a central operation in Southern China where the company has its own facilities and de-humidification rooms (to allow the timber to settle at the ambient humidity level in New Zealand). Each piece is chosen un-restored by the owner and there is a comprehensive quality control system to ensure that the craftsmanship, finish and brasswork are of our high standard.

The Newton Range is a neo-classic range that allows customers to choose from a variety of finishes and inlays. There are a number of finishes and inlays available, from natural Elm through the various wood stains to the coloured lacquers. Choose either from the exisitng range dimensions, or create your own for a small additional charge if you have a specific dimension requirement.

The Homestead Range is a new range that appeals to those who yearn for solid timber, simplicity, honesty, charm and character in their furniture. Deliberately drawing on the Victorian kitchen for inspiration, the Homestead Range is made entirely from re-cycled Elm from roof beams, doors and wooden panels from condemned buildings. Currently the range includes, but is not restricted to, Sideboards, Consoles, Coffee Tables and End Tables. Pieces can be ordered with variation in dimension and finish.

The Tavola Range was introduced in March 2009 and features old Chinese doors saved from condemned buildings. It is a combination of rustic and industrial with a broad appeal to a variety of settings.

Each door used is given a code and that code follows the piece as it is being made. This enables the purchaser to know what the original door looked like and can witness its transformation.

The Studio Collection is an Art Deco inspired range that also features two pieces for the bathroom. The curved lines give the furniture a softer appeal, but there is weight and solidity in the thickness of the timber.
